Uwell Crown 2 Review: Is It Better than Crown?

Since its launch, Crown 2 from Uwell has been receiving mixed reviews from vapers all over the world. While some loved the coil-created flavor, others detested it!

The extraordinarily high expectations on this eagerly awaited product have helped Crown 2 get listed among the best products with sub-ohm clearomizer tanks. Since Uwell’s Rafale tanked because of its tank, the company took its time to launch its new vaping device with significant improvement—enter Uwell Crown 2.

So, did Uwell Crown 2 live up to the high standards set by its predecessor, Uwell Crown? Let’s find out.

Uwell Crown 2 – All You Need to Know

Color Options

Uwell hasn’t played much when it comes to releasing Crown 2 in multiple colors. The vaping device comes in only three colors:

  1. Coffee
  2. Stainless Steel
  3. Black

Unboxing

Neatly packaged in a tin container, the starter kit comes with the following:

  • 1 Uwell Crown 2 Tank
  • 1 Pre-installed Parallel 0.25ohm Coil
  • 1 Extra Parallel 0.5ohm Coil
  • 1 Extra Quartz Glass
  • 1 Sticker
  • 1 Extra Rubber O-Rings
  • User Manual

The packaging is sturdy and protects the contents very well. Overall, the unboxing experience is pleasant and easy.

Build Quality

Uwell has gained popularity as a brand that can be relied on for its high-quality products. Crown 2 is no different and it lives up to that standard.

From using one of the purest grade stainless steel, SUS316L, for its coil heads to generating the best quality vapes, Crown 2’s quality is far from being a disappointment. The product also boasts an industry-best standard tank!

Design

Whatever failed for Rafale, Uwell has taken the utmost care of implementing it right in Crown 2. The leak-resistant top full design and the improved chimney for a stronger flavor offer an absolutely delightful experience.

Crown 2 also comes with a bullet coil for smoother airflow. This 510-threaded design also has a detachable Delrin insulated drip tip.

The tank measures about 62mm x 24mm. While the sub-ohm tank was built keeping beginners in mind, advanced vapers also are attracted to the Crown 2’s sleek design.

Battery Life

There is not much significant to talk about Crown 2’s battery. They are standard Li-Ion batteries and 20 amp or higher versions can be used to power this device.

Needless to say, good care must be taken while charging the device’s battery.

The dual coil heads work well for both wattage and temperature control modes, with the capacity being 0.25/0.5/0.8 ohm.

Vaping Quality

Crown 2 comes with a 5ml vaping juice capacity tank in a stainless-steel casing making it a leak-proof system. As a result, the flavor is stronger and the clouds are thicker.

The SUS316L 0.25ohm coil head offers large clouds whereas the 0.5ohm coil head generates strong vapes with balanced flavors. The 0.8ohm parallel crown atomizers give the device a longer lifespan, while their cone-shaped positive connectors make the airflow smoother.

Compared to its predecessor, Crown 2’s vapes are much smoother and silkier and result in a high-power vaping experience. In short, Crown 2 continues Crown’s legacy and offers even better vaping results.

If you want large clouds, I recommend that you use a 0.25ohm atomizer. If you want the best flavor, a 0.8ohm atomizer does the job.

If you don’t want to compromise on either and want a decent combination of both taste and clouds, a 0.5ohm atomizer should be your pick.

Refilling

Refilling e-liquid in Crown 2 tank is easy and hassle-free. The juice tank’s locking screw prevents leaking from both the slots of the tank.

One of Crown 2’s most popular features is it can be refilled from both top and bottom, giving the vaper a great deal of flexibility while refilling. To top that, the holes are large and easy to fill.

This is undoubtedly one of the best devices out there when it comes to refilling experience.

Device Care

Ease of cleaning is probably a disadvantage of this otherwise good vaping device.

There is a locking screw on the tank which needs to be unscrewed to disassemble the device for cleaning.

Also, the coil heads need to be heavily primed before use. The instructions prescribe the user to saturate the cotton from inside of the coil (where the coil sits) until the cotton in all four juice holes is saturated with e-juice.

When the cotton cannot absorb any more e-juice, that means you’re done priming the coil and that is when you can go ahead and use your device. Easy, yes, but it felt like a burden to me.

Overall

I would say Uwell Crown 2 is a worthy buy, as long as you don’t expect too much of a change from its predecessor.

It may not be the best in the market, but it is good value for your money considering the vaping quality it offers.

Conclusion

Uwell lives up to its brand value with this another affordable device which also offers superior performance. There are of course newer Crown versions on the market, such as Crown 3 and Crown 4, but Crown 2 somehow manages to steal the spotlight from time to time.

Crown 2’s vapes are smooth, the build is reliable, and its durability is great. It is an easy-to-handle device for beginners and even advanced vapers can have it as their spare device without compromising on the vaping experience.
