Produced by a household manufacturer, Wismec, the Reuleaux RX200 is a high-powered 200W temperature control mod that accommodates three 18650 batteries. Marketed as a budget model, the Reuleaux RX200 is only available for purchase in two different color schemes.
If I had successfully gotten my two cents worth in, the manufacturers of this mod would’ve certainly paid more attention to the design of this mod. When it comes to visual appeal, this mod’s got none!
Let’s dive further into details.
Wismec Reuleaux RX200 – All You Need to Know
Despite being a budget device, the manufacturers have spared no expense in making the RX200 sturdy.
Constructed of stainless steel and zinc alloy, you can be certain of this mod’s ability to stand the test of time. The 510 connector that connects the mod and the atomizer is gold plated and spring-loaded to facilitate a smooth link-up.
The RX200 isn’t lengthy by any means; however, it is quite wide and does have plenty of depth to it.
The width makes sense since it has to house 3 batteries. When all the batteries are placed in the mod, the RX200 becomes quite heavy, proving to be an impractical choice for those who prefer carrying their vaping devices everywhere.
Nevertheless, the RX200 does possess a nice form that fits and feels well in your hands. I also like that the buttons are sized appropriately.
The RX200’s OLED display serves its purpose and does a good job of showcasing information on mode, voltage, and wattage. It also displays the temperature and battery life percentage.
The display screen is clear, bright, and big enough. What more would you want from a display?
However, I must admit that the screen gets a bit warm when used for an extended period.
The contacts on the RX200’s battery compartment are gold plated. The fact that there is a ribbon installed in the compartment to help remove the batteries only adds to the charm of the mod.
I’d suggest you only use high-premium batteries on this mod.
If you want to charge your batteries, don’t use the micro-USB port located in the front of the mod. This process will take you an eternity to charge the batteries.
Instead, as advised by the manufacturers, charge the batteries externally. Know that the USB port has been specifically designed to be used only for firmware updates.
There is another factor to keep in mind while using the batteries; don’t mix and match them. Charge and discharge them according to their groups.
Since the mod operates on triple 18650 batteries, the RX200 has exceptional battery life. However, be advised that battery life is entirely reliant on how frequent you vape, the mode you use, and the wattage you apply.
To enable stealth mode, press and hold the fire and down buttons simultaneously. Repeat the process to get out of the mode.
Stealth mode decreases the production of clouds and makes the puffs barely visible.
To lock the screen, you must press the up and down buttons at the same time. Do the same to unlock the screen.
Resistance Lock Function
Press and hold the fire and up buttons to enable the resistance lock function. For the function to be disabled, apply the same method.
Flipping the Screen
Switch off the device first. Then, hold the up and down buttons.
Upon doing so, your screen will be flipped 180 degrees. To get the screen back to its original position, repeat the same process.
Variable Wattage/Temperature Control Mode
Quickly press the fire button thrice to enter the mod menu. From there, press the up and down buttons accordingly to enter the variable wattage mode or the temperature control mode.
This feature allows you to adjust the wattage and the temperature from 100 to 315 degrees Celsius. I love that the RX200 has temperature control and wattage mode for titanium, nickel, and stainless steel coils.
- Ergonomic design that fits well with your hands
- Excellent placement of the firing button
- Outstanding battery life
- Extremely versatile; compatible with all types of coils including stainless steel, titanium, and nickel
- Produces high-quality intense flavored vapor
- With 3 holes on each side and 20 holes on the base, the RX200 has exemplary ventilation
- Using another brand’s atomizer with this mod will void your warranty
- Pretty heavy for my liking
- Doesn’t have any aesthetic appeal; in fact, it looks like a toiletry dispenser
- Tends to get hot in the front; upgrading the firmware may get rid of this problem
If you are looking for a mod that is a bang for the buck, look no further than the Wismec Reuleaux RX200.
Although it doesn’t have the benefits of being operated by a DNA 200 chip like top-performing DNA mods out there, the RX200, with its 200W of power output, still manages to produce potent flavorful hits and a large number of clouds on the regular.
Despite not being the most portable mod around owing to its weight, the device still fits well with your hands. It also helps that this mod pairs well with most of the sub-ohm tanks available in the market.
In conclusion, the RX200 is another Wismec product that does the company’s product range a lot of good. You can go for this mod without any hesitation.
